SUNRISE IMAGING ANNOUNCES THE 5TH GENERATION SCANNERS

SunRise Imaging Inc. introduces the 5th generation, "Apollo" series to their hallmark 3-in-1 microfilm scanners family.

Santa Ana , Calif., Marchr 15, 2011 - SunRise Imaging, Inc. (SRI), the global leader in high-performance, production microfilm scanning systems, announced today, that it now offers Special Edition versions of the 3-in-1 SpeedScan and TurboScan. These new models allow you to select various hardware and software options that best fit your microfilm conversion workflow process.

"The Apollo family uses a new bright, high efficiency, LED technology as the light source, replacing the traditional halogen lamp", said Dennis Childs, President of SunRise Imaging, Inc. "The multiple advantages of the new LED based light and optics are: a highly focused lighting system with tenfold efficiency gain, the elimination of radiated heat to the microfilm, higher reliability, longer lamp life, and very low energy consumption", he explained. According to Steven Godfrey, Managing Director of SunRise Imaging (EMEA) Ltd, UK, "what is so great about SunRise microfilm scanners is that their new innovations keep the existing customers in mind – like the modules compatibility with all base units since the inception of the company - the new LED based light system is also backward compatible with previous models. Customers with earlier models can readily take advantage of this exciting new capability without having to discard their investment".

Another important milestone set by the Apollo microfilm scanners is the introduction of the new scanning application, "ScanFlo Premier". The new application features dual operating modes: a new user friendly based wizard and the classic ScanFlo user interface. The wizard mode provides an easy to follow, step-by-step procedure that shields the complexity of microfilm scanning from a new user. The more experienced user and those who are already familiar with the SunRise scanners have the option of using the original classic mode. "It is like getting two applications in one", said Joe Paradiso, CEO Imaging 411, a leading US distributor and service provider of SunRise scanners. "Demonstration of the SRI 3-in-1 Apollo may be seen in the Imaging 411 booth (# 906), at the upcoming AIIM International Conference & Expo, March 22-24, Washington DC.
